Restore your Thumbdrive Files

Its a scary feeling to accidentally lose all your thumbdrive files, especially before doing a full backup on your flash drive. If in the unfortunate event, you happen to encounter such a situation, remember, this is one foolproof way on how you can restore your files on your flash drive.

This methods works on all computers or laptops running windows 10 and above.

  1. Download Windows File Recovery.

2) Connect your USB flash drive to your computer and memorize the drive letter assigned to it.

3) Open Windows Terminal or CMD as administrator.

4) Enter the following command: Winfr E: C: /extensive (replace E: with the drive letter assigned to your USB flash drive and C: with the drive letter assigned to the storage device where you want to store recovered files)

Follow the command exactly, changing just the drive letter.

5) Wait for Windows File Recovery to finish.

6) Find your recovered files in c:/

Files will be classified and separated into different formats.

Do note, results might vary if you’ve restarted your computer or remove your thumbdrive after you deleted your files.
