A Digital Strategy.

Like the old saying goes: “if you don’t have your numbers. You don’t have a business”. I tried, for years learning how to read data, make sense of it so I know what to do next. However, there were just too many metrics. There were many tutorials online that teaches you to sell and do marketing. SEO, SEM, keyword research, tik tok videos, using AI to generate content were all in abundance. But none, none to truly teaches you to analyze data.

Yet, while most fail to recognize its importance or simply ignore it, data is at the core of commerce, the foundation of your business. Forget enticing product pictures, campaign submission, ads and product description. If your numbers aren’t telling you “whats next”, sorry, you basically don’t have a business.

The reason why I had, for years, didn’t require any data to analyze was because I didn’t actually realized I needed one. I was in fact NOT in business. I was selling based on intuition, procuring products I like, doing what wasn’t important for business like enhancing my product pictures and improving the description. There wasn’t anything that was of value.

Now, you might be asking, why investing? right? Well. Before you invest in a company, you will analyze its data right? Would you invest in a terrible business? Now, the same thing applies here. Why would you be continuing spending the money producing or procuring your items or even, create a website or run ads when your numbers don’t add up?

A question to ask yourself will be if your next batch of goods will make you lose $300 off your initial investment, would you still want to make the order?

Yes, the thought of it makes sense. It absolutely makes SENSE. So, if you haven’t start, perhaps, its time to rethink your business and see if there are products you should stop selling, actions to stop wasting time on and ideas you should stop being obsessed about.
