How to choose the correct Receipt Paper size for your POS
Receipt papers remain an important part of any business. Your POS machine, credit card terminals and NETS terminals all require the same thermal receipt paper for printing. Just like hailing a taxi when you need it, the correct sizings can be hard to find when you need it. The most common sizings for receipt printing are 80*80mm, 57*50mm and 57*40mm.
The Pro-Supplies’ Receipt paper catalog helps you to select the right size for the different sized printers. Alternatively, continue reading to see the difference of the most common sizes of receipt paper.
80*80mm Thermal Papers Rolls— These papers are commonly used for your standard POS receipt printers. These thermal papers work with printers such as your GPrinter GP-L80160I, POS-8220, and GOOJPRT JP-58DC direct thermal printers. These receipt papers are larger with a 76mm width that will make it hard to fit on any portable receipt printers.
57*50mm Thermal Papers Rolls— These papers work quite specifically with handheld receipt printers with a thicker roll diameter allowance. Be careful to give some allowance during measure and get yourself the smaller dimensions for insertion. Even if the roll diameter doesn’t fit, the extras can be rolled into 2 * smaller rolls, it will still work. But it's still better to get the right size and save yourself the hassle of wasting time re-rolling the rolls.
57*40mm Thermal Papers Rolls — These papers work best with most Portable thermal receipt printers. They are most commonly purchased for NETS and Credit card terminals. These papers are the common right fit for most portable receipt printers as well. This paper roll size is the safest size to get if you are unsure about your roll diameter and thickness.
