Fake products from China. Trying out my Fake Crocs from Taobao vs Original.
If you’ve never experienced the original, you will never knew what it means to have penny for penny. Basically, you get what you pay for.
I bought the fake pair of Crocs on Taobao, China’s biggest shopping platform. Shipping took a while, when it arrived, packaging looks exactly like the original. If you look at it closer, the finishing wasn’t that good but was okay considering the price I got it at.
The main difference for the price came from the following..
In appearance, you may find that the shoes look the same, but did you know that Crocs actually have a proprietary cushion technology on its soles? When you buy a crocs shoes, its not just the appearance you are paying for, you are paying for comfort.
After wearing both shoes for about 3 weeks or so, the fake one still feels like hard styrofoam while the original has already soften and gently adapt to the corners of the feet providing soothing support for long walks and travel.
While both shoes remain a size 9 shoes, the one on the left(fake) actually feels smaller and tighter to the feel. The one on the right, feels luxurious, spacious and comfortable. The 2 just doesn’t feel the same.
Lesson learnt, if given the choice again, I would not have gotten the fake product. It was cheap primarily if the difference was minor and within acceptable range. However, in this case, the shoe was an entire rip-off with a familiar brand tag to it. Thats not at all worth the purchase and the $.
